The New Mexico Heart Institute accepts many other plans not listed above. Our staff can check with your insurance provider to verify coverage by calling NMHI’s Central Business Office at (505) 843.2800.
As a courtesy to our patients, NMHI billing staff will verify coverage and help patients file insurance claims in order to receive the maximum reimbursement under the carrier of your choice. Any charges that your insurance carrier will not pay are your responsibility. Because we understand that this can often be complicated, our seasoned and highly-knowledgeable staff are at your service and gladly will discuss any charges on your account with you.
Although an insurance claim may have been filed, you will continue to receive statements each month as long as there is a balance on your account to be paid by either you or your insurance company.
New Mexico Heart Institute is not responsible for collecting insurance claims or negotiating settlements on disputed claims. If your insurance company is not accepted, NMHI can still file a claim; however, you may be asked to pay for the services at the time of your visit. Our billing staff can work with you to establish an acceptable payment arrangement for the balance.
